We are big fans of food.
I have a frustrating few centimetres in the mid-region that will confirm that fact.
Now put food on a photography scale of fun… and it’s right up there. It’s sexy, loves being dressed up or undressed, will stand without complaint while settings are adjusted and most of the time can be devoured post photo for the full experience and appreciation.
We were asked to shoot food for a new local Japanese restaurant, Yori Oki. The authentic props, styling and ingredients, as well as a professional touch from amazing restauranteurs, meant that the experience was a glorious spin of colour, flavour and culture. From refreshingly different starters to creative sushi surprises and eventually hand crafted cocktails, in which every syrup and flavour is made using real ingredients. It was an Asian/African/North Coast culinary adventure that even as I type, gets the mouth watering.
