Yes I know, its the end of January. But in the Chris Allan Photo studio, 2018 definitely spilled over into  2019. For us 2018 was the year of the Tasmanian Devil. We didn’t stop spinning all year long. I spun all the way up into the northern hemisphere with Natures Light Tours and I took a deep breath of sulphuric flavoured air on the Tolkienesque landscapes of Iceland.  Then I exhaled and spun my way back again and found myself in the Congo at the bottom of a copper mine, trying not to get run over by trucks the size of apartment blocks.

We shot more video and did a little writing. We shot portraits of Bok von Blerk and some beautiful girls in bikinis on our Ballito beaches as well as some backflipping for The Guinness Book of Records! I enjoyed local fame in the pages of a couple of our local magazines on the Dolphin Coast, and still managed to explore beaches, coastal forests and rivers with a tripod, a camera and a stick of tabard. 

So we start the year of the pig with trepidation. In an effort to approach some semblance of control we are planning and jotting down the mother of all to do lists. We’ll convince you to do a new portrait pic and pitch some creative content that might be just what the business doctor ordered.

So what has changed since you last heard from us?

Well we are all about making people, businesses, buildings and products look beautiful but… one of our ongoing focuses is to work more closely with clients as a regular content provider. We want to be able to provide whatever media that client needs in order to tell their stories. We can help with production, video, copy and even help at the brainstorming stage of the game. Although we sometimes produce large scale shoots we are happy to help keep a steady supply of relevant content coming in for all the social media channels.
